I looked at the $23.99 bypass ad on eBay, but it doesn't expressly state that it's a straight-through bypass without the internal thermostat.

If you need to replace the "O" rings, ensure they are the correct size and material for the application.

Replacing the plastic nipple in the transmission for the steel one is a good idea.

However, the quality and fit of the one pictured is unknown.

I'm just saying buyers beware when buying bargain-priced parts.

You may get lucky, and they will work fine.

    Please keep us posted.
I'll take my chances for $24.

I'd instead try it out and spend another $60-$100 on a name-brand one if it doesn't do what it says.

I plan on adding this in at the following trans fluid change.

The OEM valve is performing correctly, and I monitor it heavily.

UPDATE: The description does state that the O-rings are not included.

I re-read it again and noticed that.

I also found the part number for the "green o-ring" on the transmission side.

I verified with my local Chrysler Parts counter that it was around $2.50 each for replacement.

I was unable to find these anywhere online to purchase aftermarket.

Yeah, I found that page; that's where I found the part number.

I figured shipping would be $5-$10 for them.

It is cheaper to go down to my local dealership in town for $2.50 each.

I live in WA as well.

You don't need one living here.

Unless you live in the east, it might be worth it, but even then, I'd block off half of the cooler or run the cold weather cover.

I personally don't like that they are restrictive and failure-prone.

    - Happy to be on the food chain at all.

Finally got an update, save yourself about $80, and buy your thermal bypass block off eBay.

I added this to my cart and got a 5% discount about 3 days later.

    After tax, it was $24.

It says in the description it does not come with o-rings, but I checked once it arrived, and it did. Also included is the billet spin-on filter nipple for inside the transmission.
