Will 2022+ RAM Cummins Trucks Get Remote Tuning?

    What’s everyone’s opinion?

Will 2022+ trucks ever have remote tuning in the near future (2 years) or, because of the physical differences inside the new ECMs, be like the L5P trucks?

It’s been a quiet subject for a while.

    (Just looking for opinions.)

Anything is possible, but we'd have to say no with the info we have right now.

    Sadly I agree.

After hearing that there are physical differences between 21-22 ECMs.

You have to swap out the ECM from a 19-21 truck or get your current ECM on a bench and completely erase it, then upload a factory 21 calibration.

If you get a 19-21 ECM, install it in your truck, and you can flash a calibration in, and it will work local guy has done this without any issue.

Most tuners are aware of this now.

Calibrated is using a 19-21 ECM in 22+ trucks.

Used 19-21 ECMs are $700-$1200 if you buy a new ECM (this is $$$$$ about $3500 from the dealer); it can also be flashed without issue as they are blank/un-programmed.

Ya, I have heard of that, I’ve talked to a couple of places, and one site says they use a CM2200 ECM, which, if Google is correct it’s a 2012(ish) ECM more than one way to get the engine to suck squeeze bang blow just trying to find the “best” option now I guess.

No Idea about this one, but I highly suspect it won't work.

If I recall correctly, the connectors on 2200 are different than what we have on 2450.

Also not sure if 2200 would be compatible with our TCMs.

    Just get a 19-21 ECM.

Tons of them out there in the yards/eBay etc.

Ya, idk much about ECMs but I would be more comfortable having an ECM that’s a year off
