Hello all.
2017 RAM 2500 bone stock still.
How do I know, other than mileage, that the DPF is being cleaned?
I have looked through the screens and dont see anything indicating a Regen.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes it pops up on the screen for a second if your DPF is almost complete, but most of the time, it appears without notice.

Thanks, the reason I was asking is here in the last couple of months; the computer mileage went from 20-21 to the low 19s.
So I ran a hand calculation and wound up at 16.1 mpg.
It doesn't seem good to me.
Didnt know if everything is starting to plug up or not.
I know the recommendation is to clean the EGR around 80,000, and I am right at that now.
Don’t forget the type of driving, amount of idling, and ambient air temperature will affect your fuel mileage.
If your DPF or EGR is restricted or plugged, you will see trouble codes popping up.
An active or passive Regen itself will also lower your mpg.
The 67,500 mile EGR service is not required on your 2017, just the CCV filter (see video link below 4 minutes in for more information).
For now, I recommend keeping an eye on your mileage, making sure you are comparing mpg for the exact same conditions.
I hope this information is useful and will ease your concerns.
