Not that you can't tow with a 37" tire.

I'm sure some people tow heavy with the '40s, just not me.

I switched from my stock to 3.42 gears and put 4.10 gears in.

I like them with the 35" tires; if I had the 3.73's from the factory, I definitely wouldn't have switched, but I didn't like the 3.42, especially with the 35" tires.

I wouldn't suggest deleting your grid heater if you live in a cold climate.

Just grab your heater bolt and wiggle it every oil change, and if you're worried about it, change the bolt out every 50-75k miles.

It's cheap and doesn't take very long.

    Just my 2 cents.
    Thanks!

I couldn't resist the 37s and ordered some.

    35s are probably more logical.

Mostly tow a 5k lbs enclosed motorcycle trailer, so it probably will be ok.

Also, occasionally, I'll like to tow a 16k lbs equipment trailer when my track loader needs serviced.

That's once or twice a year for 60 miles round trip.

Hopefully, it won't be too sketchy on the 37s.

If it is, I'll swap out the stock-size rubber.

I will keep the grid heater.

    It gets cold here.

    Saw -30 F this winter!

I tow 12k lbs of round hay bales monthly on 37x13.5x17 with my 2018 2500.

    It’s not bad at all.

Even the few times I forgot to up the air pressure from my normal 40psi it wasn’t bad.

I do have 456 gearing though.

The Glacier Diesel Mega-Flo Grid Heater is a great replacement for the stock grid heater.

It draws the same current as stock and is located upstream and below the intake air plenum.

You can simply abandon your stock grid heater in place and move the power wire or install the Air-Boss 67 grid heater delete plate.

You can use your stock intake horn or replace it with the Mega Flo S-2 horn for more airflow.

Awesome thanks, that's great to hear.

How are the 456s for lightly loaded freeways?

    I usually cruise 75mph.

I'm sure they are awesome towing!

That looks like an awesome setup!

Their website says it doesn't work with dual alternators, which my truck has.

I should call and see if there's a workaround.

Good point; it looks like they are only giving that “twin alternator” restriction with their intake horn.

It may be worth giving them a call; the grid heater should bolt up to the stock intake horn with the Throttle Valve removed.

    Cool thanks!

I hadn't realized that it might be possible to do the heater without also fitting their intake horn.

    I'll give them a ring!

They suck for hwy driving over 65-70 mph for fuel mileage; they are great for staying in the power band and keeping the turbo spooled.

75mph is right at 2k rpm.

According to the dash, I'm at 15 mpg, but I also have 100 percent over injectors and an S467, so my mpg is probably less than a stock injector truck.

I’m going to switch to 430s eventually.

    Cool thanks.

    I think I'll do 4.10s or 4.30s.

4.30s look ideal, but I'd rather have AAM than Nitro gears.
