New Member Intro - 2017 RAM 3500 DRW

    Good day, all.

This is my 2017 RAM 3500 DRW.

Since purchasing this truck, I have attempted upgrades while traveling for work.

She currently rides "Leveled" on 37in Toyo Open Country RTs with 4.10 gearing and the Aisin holding on for dear life (Towing a Cyclone toy hauler).

I have recently installed an ATS VFR 4000 along with the common bolt-on parts under the hood.

After glancing through the forums, I am looking forward to the wealth of knowledge that I see here and hopefully being able to lend a hand myself to some.

I plan to make the time for head studs, Injectors, CP3 upgrade, and potentially top-end work while the head is off.

Thanks for reading; I'm glad to be a part of this community.

    Welcome!

    I love the truck!

How do you like the 4.10 gearing?

I'm picking up an 18 3500 srw with the Aisin and will be swapping out the stock 3.42s for something starting with a 4, along with 37" tires.

    I haven't settled yet on 4.10, 4.30, or maybe 4.56.

I have appreciated the 4.10 gearing so far.

My 5er is 17,800 lbs dry, and it is loaded down for full-time living and usually includes the sxs.

There are a lot of variables between gearing and what your use will be.

If you dont plan on towing heavy or racing the truck, 4.10s wouldundoubtedlyy work.

37s are a lot of un-sprung weight to get moving, but between my sets of 35s and two sets of 37s, I have seen excellent fuel mileage with speeds 70 and below.

Unfortunately, I rarely drive within those limits.
