2019 RAM Big Horn Cummins Delete Update

It has been about six months since I had the delete done on my 2019 Big Horn.

It has been excellent, both with improved mileage and throttle response.

    No major issues.

Batteries had to be changed out, and it threw a code on me.

I took it to my man, and he quickly cleared it.

We are now working with the dealer on a high-pressure fuel pump replacement.

I am on a waiting list, and he said mine should come in March.

Eprom will have to be reshot, so I checked with Service Manager, who said there is no problem.

When it's time to re-program, he will call my mechanic and get him to reinstall the deleted tune.

He told me he probably gets more deletes to work than not.

They seem to have no problem doing warranty recall work on deleted trucks.

He told me he has more problems with stock trucks than the deleted ones.

Just glad I don't get a hassel out of the dealer. as a side note, I didn't even buy the truck from them.

Re: 2019 RAM Big Horn Cummins Delete Update

The HP fuel pump recall went south on me.

The original dealer who would recall me backed out at the last minute.

He told me that Dodge would not pay them if they did the mod on a deleted truck.

My delete mechanic called the Dodge dealer in the next town and said he would be happy to do it.

He had two in the shop he was working on and would get to mine in 4 days.

I took it to him four days later, and he had it ready in a few days.

He was using my mechanic's programmer, and since he had no more recalls, he asked me to return it on my way home.

The truck runs excellently as before, and now I've got that off my to-do list.

I just got my Fleece coolant bypass kit and plan on getting that done after my mechanic returns from vacation in a couple of weeks.

As a side note, I just returned from a 1900-mile round trip to The Ark and Creation Museum, and if the MPG indicator is anywhere near right, I averaged 23.8 MPG driving 70-75 most of the way.
