Thread: 68RFE Trans Codes: P0933/P0935?

    Re: 68RFE Trans Codes: P0933/P0935?

Update- New VB and solenoid pack from Revmax did not fix his issue.

The codes came back 5 miles down the street.

So he dropped it again and put the stock back in.

Poor guy, I assume his pump or something pump related inside the trans is the culprit, which sucks because we both had them rebuilt recently with all the goodies minus the input shaft due to shortages at the time of build—covid times, of course.

    He gets 160 psi stock.

It can't handle the request when we upload the Revmax tune asking for more line pressure with the new VB.

    Wow, weird.

At least you know it wasn't the Revmax VB, so I credit them for working with you.

    I agree.

I'm using theirs with no issues. im tuned at 235psi.

Upshifts are tight under medium throttle, but when on it, it shifts smoothly due to the quickness of speed.

    Downshifts are smooth.

I will ask my guy if the upshifts are part of nature or if we can fine-tune them.

I'm assuming he tuned it that way since it's got tons of power after the build we just did.

If I feather the throttle, I can make it shift very smoothly.

My guy likes Suncoast stuff over Revmax, but too late; I already had it in.

    I wonder if it’s tuning-related.

I’ve had nothing but trans complaints with CCS.

I am saving to re-buy new DRD tuning with MM3.

Since you opened the can of worms, I'll respond, LOL.

    CCS is dog crap tunes!!

I don't care what someone else says; I'm telling you from personal experiences and my buddy.

They took all my low-end TQ away and didn't know how to fix it.

    It had zero *****.

I got new tuning from a local shop; you have to be vetted, know what I mean.

    It screams now.

It will roast the tires off and run even though my guy says not to due to no upgraded input shaft YET.

It was in the shop fortwo2 months for head and lots of upgrades, so im in no hurry to lose her for another day to fine tuning just yet.

It shifts way better than CCS could do.

My buddy's issue COULD be tuning, but he uses it daily for business, so he can't let the tuner have it until he buys another truck which is happening very soon.

I haven’t really had any engine performance issues from them, just TCM tuning.

I’m glad you got that figured out!

I’ll be switching to DRD asap.
