No Dash Display? - 2013 RAM 3500 Laramie

I have got an odd one.

I started the truck, and I have no dash display.

The radio is fine, the tuner is fine, no codes.

The batteries are fully charged, and good and connections look good.

I use it to pull my 5th wheel and don't drive it in the winter much to keep it out of the salt, and it has been sitting.

I put the battery charger on it and started it when it fully charged.

I think the first step is to disconnect the batteries overnight and see if it resets.

    Any thoughts?
    Eric

I would disconnect both batteries and touch the positive and negative cables together.

This will speed up the reset process by discharging all capacitors.

With the batteries disconnected, measure the static voltage on each battery.

You should see at least 12.6 volts on each if they are fully charged.

I disconnected the batteries for 36 hrs.

I reconnected them, and still nothing.

I took it to my local electronics expert, who sorted out my Can Buss problems.

They have seen this before, and it’s a bad dash module.

They pulled it and used the same company to repair them that RAM gets their ‘remanufactured’ units from.

Since they will be repairing and returning my dash no programming issues.

The cost will be about $600, much less than buying one and programming.

I should have it back in about a week.

I got the truck back last week.

Dash repair location said the main chip was done and had to replace it.

The truck is back to normal.
