    Shocks For A Smoother Ride?

What's everyone running for shocks on the 2500s?

Even being the spring suspension, it still rides rough as hell.

I knew way before I bought my 2017 HD2500 it would be a rough riding SOB price you pay for a Tow Vehicle.

With that said, I, to this day, have no plans on upgrading the suspension with a lift or level.

My 17 comes with the Bilstein 4600s; when the time comes, I will upgrade to the 5100 series if still available.

Carli or Thuren springs and shocks.

Are about the only way to soften the ride.

    I agree.

I have Thuren springs and coils.

We visited my mom and her husband for Thanksgiving, and he could stop commenting on how smooth the truck road was.

I have 35 mud tires with the Thuren suspension.

My mom and husband are in their mid to late 60s.

2018 2500 68RFE, Amp steps, Thurn leveling kit, and suspension, Harters wheels 35 in tires.

Coming: Trans tuning, intake horn, 3.5 in charge pipes.

I have Bilstein 5100s all the way around with Bilstein leveling springs in the front with a Thuren adjustable track bar; I couldn't be happier with the set-up, 2016 2500.

I switched from 5100s to Fox 2.0s with Carli tuning, and man, what a difference.

I’m about to get their sway bar; I’ve heard significant improvements, which mainly help with getting thrown left and right over bumps.

The sway bars a huge improvement on ride quality over stock.

I wanted the carli bar since I other wise have full Carli suspension but I went with Thurens bar because Carli was back ordered at the time.

I also have the Carli tuned fox 2.0 shocks, and now it floats over bumps like a dream boat!

When I switched my shocks out at 30k miles, the factory shocks were completely dead with no rebound whatsoever.

I literally undid the nuts and was able to push them right on down.

I think almost anything name brand will be an upgrade from stock, IMO.

Re: Shocks For A Smoother Ride?

I just installed a set of Fox 2.0s, and they ride much nicer than the NSX shocks that come with the BDS lift.

Running BDS coils on all 4 corners.

I would suggest the Fox's they are pricey, but they do ride nicely.

I have to agree with the Fox 2.0 shocks.

I replaced my stock shocks with them last month, and I am very pleased with the ride and performance they give.

Taking off in snow and ice, I was experiencing rear wheel hop, but the Fox shocks took care of that also, along with a softer ride.
