    RAM Clearance/Cab/Marker Lights?

Been having issues with my clearance lights (the five lights on the cab) not much I can find on them.

They aren’t receiving power at all; I tried replacing the bulbs individually, then replaced the fuse, but still nothing.

I wonder if the ground is bad or if a connector isn’t plugged in; I'm just wondering what I need to take apart to get to these things.

I’m not sure where the wires are routed throughout the truck for these wires.

They’re factory clearance lights, from what I can see.

See attached wiring diagram and location of the connector for the clearance light harness.

You can verify the ground circuit by checking for continuity to the ground or with a test light from battery positive.

If they are factory, the wires run down the passenger pillar.

They connect somewhere in that area.

Did you check for power at the fuse box and the socket?

If they are dealer-installed, the ground is under the headliner; you may not find it without taking the liner partially down; not worth it; solder in a new ground wire in the parallel circuit and run it down the A-pillar, pass side.

Plenty of grounding spots below the dash assy.

    It fits factory installed.

You have a sizeable grey connector near the bottom of the A-pillar, pass side, and power for lamps comes from there.

It may be the only wire in that connector along with the ground if you dont have a bunch of stuff overhead.

I installed the factory lamp kit and plugged mine into the factroy connector.

Tried to buy the factory harness, but it is no longer available.

So I might buy the connector and pin and install my dealer kit harness.

Tough punching those holes in a perfectly good cab for those lamps. 2-1/4" holes and 1-1" holes for each lamp.

    I use the Irwin Unibit.

Still, rock solid did it 12 years ago.

I did buy a new kit to replace all the lamps, so I have a spare harness and template too.

Been busy with performance parts on the truck.

    Currently out for work.

I am going to dive into it when I get back.

Great feedback; thank you for the help.

I’ll post updates whenever I get to work on it.

I did check the fuse box, the fuse is OK, and power is present.

It has to be a ground wire somewhere up in the headliner.

It also pushed power through the lamps and only 3/5 lit up.

    An update?

I have the headliner ripped out; the previous owner, for some reason, shunted the center cab light back in.

The wiring also starts on the driver's side; I am at a loss as to how to fix this properly.

There are many videos on YouTube on it as I debated installing cab lights on my truck.

I'm pretty sure the end of the wiring is on the driver's side (where the wiring stops) and runs across and down inside the passenger A-pillar, where there is a factory connector.

I'd start with checking each light socket for power if only some are coming on.

As previously said, clean the ground under the headliner and re-install it.

This pic is the wire harness.

The soup sandwich that owned my truck previously wired my cab lights, too.

Driver's side next to the parking brake.

It’s the green wire plugging into the orange and white.
