    S468/87/1.0 - 2015 RAM 2nd Gen Swap - Need Advice

I'm getting ready to do a 2nd Gen swap to my 2015 and don't have supporting fueling or injectors yet, but when all is said and done, I would like to make somewhere between 700 to 800hp.

I have plans to have my cylinder head surfaced and o ringed and also install arp625 head studs.

My main question is, should I do more to the head than just o rings when I go to have the head work done?

Ive been thinking about doing slightly heavier valve springs, billet bridges, and heavy-duty pushrods, but the cam is still in stock.

Will adding slightly stronger springs (103s or 105s) be harder on my stock cam, orpossiblye cause premature failure?

My next question is how much horsepower/ boost will the stock valvetrain hold before potential valve floatingandr reversion would take place?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

You'll need valve springs (103 lbs) and push rods.

No need for the bridges or the orings at that power level.

Some interesting information about valve springs is in this link that may be helpful.

I guess when you get to 700 or 800 hp, I would imagine those springs would be needed but don't hold me to it; other members will know.

I imagine the same boost (50 psi) with fuel mods at 800 hp is way different than, let's say, around (50 psi) stock fuel like I am planning, which is nowhere near that hp.

Boost doesn't always mean power; I realize that.

Now correct me if I am wrong as I am learning myself.

I plan on staying with stock fuel with an S464 and was reading that I would be ok with stock springs as long as I was under 50 psi.

I can't imagine a stock fuel truck pushing the S464 too hard anyway?

I recommend that you add bigger injectors to get valve springs and pushrods.

With the S464, you aren’t making much more power than a tuned stock turbo truck, and you should be perfectly fine with stock valve springs.
