WARNING!

A TIN FOIL HAT IS NEEDED!

It may be just me, but I had a recall for the same thing done on my ‘17, or I assume it was that truck, indeed, not the ‘21.

The point is, can’t FCA figure out how to adjust a tailgate?

How bad has litigation become that automakers have to issue recalls for a stupid latch adjustment?

I have always tugged on the tailgates to ensure they werecorrectly latchedy. (a must-do with my old Fords).

The argument that cargo could fall out if the gate comes open?

Well, if that were the case, the cargo wasn’t properly secured in the first place.

One could get the impression that they issue a recall to sniff around your vehicle, looking for “unauthorized” alterations.

If I don’t take it in, it shows an open recall listed as a safety recall.

How long before the powers outlaw driving a vehicle with open safety recalls?

Hell, I got a recall for the driver airbag on my 2009 ranger last fall.

Finally, they have parts to fix, but they don’t want it driven til it’s done.

WTF?

It was supposedly ok for the last 12 years, and now it’s urgent?
