RAM To Replace High Pressure Fuel Pump

I got a second recall notice that Dodge now has a replacement high-pressure fuel pump for my truck.

I stopped and talked to my dealer service manager, and he said he was getting one a week and put me on his waiting list.

Here is the rub; the recall notice said the job would take four to five hours.

The service manager said 3-4 days.

Since the truck is deleted and my delete mechanic will have to come and reflash the E-prom, which he has agreed to do, I did not argue with the dealer.

He said he deals with many deletes and always works with my shop.

Is anybody else dealing with this particular situation?

I have been delighted with the delete.

The new power setup and mileage improvement have been great.

Just glad I am not getting a hassle from my local dealer.

It sounds like you have a very cooperative dealer; not sure why it would take so long, but maybe it won't take as long as they think, depending on when your tuner can get there.

Good luck with this; keep us posted.

I am waiting on parts to come in for my 2020 pump replacement.
