    Bricked ECM?

    Hello all.

Hoping someone can help get me in the proper direction.

I installed a custom harness to get my Laramieseat's power/heat/ventilation working.

I got everything hooked up as directed, started the truck, and no crank.

Gauge cluster lights and info center are going crazy, and my MM3 isn't connecting to the ECU with the key on, similar to when programming your ECU.

I realized when I got done that I didn't unhook the passenger side battery, which may have contributed to the issue.

I checked all fuses under the hood related to ECM and PCM all looked good.

I unhooked both batteries for an hour, and still no go.

I fear I may have bricked the ECU during the harness installation process.

Anyone experiences similar symptoms with no crank and a gauge cluster going crazy.

Did you try unplugging the MM3 and seeing if that did anything?

    Thank you,

Also, did you unplug the custom harness and try to communicate with the PCM using a higher-end scan tool?

    Re: Bricked ECM?

    I got it figured out.

I forgot to plug in a harness under the fuse box under the hood.

    Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.
