2022 RAM 3500 6.7L Cummins - P056E Code?

Hello all, I need some help figuring out what this code is.

A friend of mine got this code that tripped the CEL, and on the code reader, it says:

Cold start
Turbocharger/ supercharger
Boost control 'A' performance

No other symptoms, stock truck.

The only other associations with that code I can find are related to the EGR.

There isn't a dealer or mechanic nearby, so I'm just trying to figure out if this is worth worrying about.

I have a hunch it's not.

It must be a new trouble code for the 5th Gen.

Sorry, I could not find any information on this code in my 4th Gen reference material.

There is no update; my deleted 2021 2500 got the same code now, but there’s no EGR!

I read somewhere that he changed an air filter and solved this problem; I will try to change it tomorrow.

I just got this code on my 2022 a few hundred miles after my weight loss.

It was strange, too.

It just says, "P056E: DTC description not found!"

I cleared it, and it hasn't come back.

I saw another post mentioning air filters.

We'll see if it comes back and go from there.

The 5th Gens seem to be very finicky with air filters.

My 2020 will throw that code on a NAPA Gold air filter.

OEM filter and so far Doc's Diesel have been code free in my truck.

I'm just updating this thread for others.

This code has been popping up almost daily in my truck; I've just cleared it when I get home.

I got my Doc's Diesel filter today and put it in.

I will report back on the results.

We're a week into Doc's Diesel Air Filter and I have not had the P056E code return.

It was popping daily before changing the filter.

So far so good!

I get this code along with low boost after I put in an S&B air filter kit.

Supposedly, S&B is working on it.

I have been fighting the same code. P056E.

On my truck, I have been running a S&B for 80k miles, then put the truck on a diet.

I had the diet for 15k Miles, and boom, I'm suddenly getting this code every day, sometimes shortly after warmup and drive.

Sometimes it will be 100 miles down the road.

Knowing the issue would be great if anyone figures it out.

Occasionally, I get a P 226C Turbocharger Boost Control “A” Slo" "esponse.

My boost is good at 39 psi.

So far, I have changed the crank case filter, added Banks monster Ram/ Grid heater delete / Boost tube upgrade, and added a new S&B dry air filter.

I still am getting this damn code.

I chalked up the P226C to cold temps and gunk build up in turbo, but a Fleece upgrade is in works.

It’s possible your Fleece turbo upgrade may take care of both trouble codes.
