Exhaust Brake Squeal After TBE Installed

Someone probably posted about this, but I still didn’t find an answer.

I put on TBE, and ever since then, my exhaust brake would squeal when engaged.

It sounds like it’s coming from around the turbo area.

I have EGR and throttle body delete, but it made the squealing before I removed those (I just unplugged them until I got my kit), which leads me to believe it’s somewhere around the turbo.

It did not start until after the exhaust installation.

Could mine be a loose or incorrectly applied clamp?

I’ve tightened the clamps, and it doesn’t seem to change.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Can you see anywhere that’s blackened from soot around the clamp?

    Not that I can see.

I’ve checked all clamps from the downpipe to the tailpipe and don’t see any soot or loose clamps.

I removed the clamp connecting the downpipe to the turbo but saw nothing unusual.

My only other thought would be that the downpipe isn’t sitting flush on the turbo or need a new v clamp.

Or maybe even a manifold gasket, but it didn’t do it until I changed the exhaust.

You could also try pressurizing the exhaust via the tailpipe with a shop vac exhaust or air compressor and check for leaks with soapy water.

    Mine does this.

I decided it wasn't an exhaust leak as it goes away under higher loads like when pulling trailers and descending a hill just unloaded at mild deceleration; probably a turbo setting up to explode or an actuator tripping out
