RAM 3500 Rear Axle?

Starting to look for a used truck.

Do the 3500 single wheels have the same width axle as the dual wheel version?

Does Hub face to hub face?

I plan to install a flatbed and only want singles in the back.

I find a lot of dual-wheel trucks and would be willing to remove the dually rims for a set of 4 aftermarket rims with singles in the back.

No singles are narrower.

3500 truck dually axle is roughly 4” wider per side.

3500 Cab and chassis axle is roughly 2” wider per side.

Are you making a flat bed?

If not, singles may look tucked in or similar to where the inner dual wheel would be unless a high offset wheel is used, like -40.
