    MM3 Display Options?

I have a package from Ray in my 2018 Cummins.

I have an MM3 display with preset defaults to voltage, tach, and throttle position.

Are there more exciting things to watch on the MM3?

What do you guys have our set to?

    Let me know,

    Thanks,
    Tom

It’s your personal preference what PIDs you like to monitor daily.

I recommend trying them out to see what is most beneficial to you.

I like to set up multiple screen layouts with different PIDs for troubleshooting, such as VGT actual and desired and Fuel Pressure actual and desired.

If you are towing heavy, you may wish to monitor EGTs, Engine Fan Speed, Transmission Temperature, Coolant Temperature, and Boost Pressure.

Your selection will also depend on your available stock engine gages and instrument cluster information.

    Great ideas.

Do I have EGT capability, or do I need to install a temp probe?

To monitor EGT on your MM3, you will need to purchase and install the temperature probe kit.

They are available at the DRD store.

I would like to know everyone's different PID setups on the monitor.

I got Boost, Vehicle Voltage, EGT, MM3 internal temp, and MM3 Voltage right now.

I like watching the converter lock up in tranny.

EGT: So, I know how hot I'm throwing through the system.

Alt actual: I'll know when or if I run into an issue with over or under-charging my batteries " I have a few accessories."

Fuel level: I don't like always relying on the dash gauge.

ECT: Try to prevent any kind of overheating related situation.

Boost: I have a whiskey foot, so I can detect a boost leak if I start to drop psi.

I run on the dashboard D layout.
