    5th Gen A Pillar Gauges?

Any suggestions on A-pillar gauges for a 5th Gen?

So far, no one has made a factory match set that I can find.

I used to have the 4th Gen factory match from Autometer on my 2017, which was great.

I can’t find ones close to the 5th Gen style of gauge, though.

It seems they’re close in appearance but then have green backlights or blue pointers.

No one has made an A-pillar pod mount yet, either.

Saw a few videos of people modifying the 4 Gen pod pillars.

I got in touch with Ortiz Custom Poda, and he thinks he may be able to make one, and I’m just waiting to find out.

He has a double pod that keeps the grab handle, but I’m looking to ditch that.

So Ortiz just got back to me.

They can make a custom triple for the 5th Gen.

A little pricey at $279 if you send them your pillar, or $309, and they’ll build it from scratch.

As pricy as it is, it’s worth it to me not to buy something else that’s “close” only to Frankenstein, a bunch of cuts/modifications into it to have it “sort of fit” or not fit at all.

I’ll snap some photos when I get it and throw it up on here not sure how long it’ll take.

That's really not that bad considering it's custom made.

    Yeah, that’s true.

I managed to grab a set of Sport Comp II gauges from Autometer.

Short of having factory match options.

I think that’s as close as I’m going to get.

    New gauges are in.

I wish the bezel was chrome but short of having an actual “factory match” option this is pretty close.

Plus it’ll be on the A piller so it should make it less noticeable.

Now I’m just waiting for the pillar.

Well it took longer than I thought but the A piller finally showed up tonight. Looks good so far. The way the made it you can use both factory bolts to fasten it through the pods so it’ll be super solid. I got all the wiring done under the hood in anticipation of it showing up, so just a few wires to run under the dash and it should more or less be plug ‘n’ play. Should have it installed tomorrow afternoon. 7C935826-EE9A-4245-BA37-008F0452AABC.jpg5CA8F116-AB09-4482-A9C1-60966D2A66FC.jpg07D6D3B2-AA47-4F17-9E59-C03F5BDEE472.jpg

Done! Overall pretty happy. I find that the top gauge feels like it’s pretty close to my face…more so than when I had gauges in my 4th gen. But that being said…I’m probably not used to it yet…and the pillar was made without having my truck to test fit a mock up…so in no way am I complaining. I’m more than happy with them.

I also like that the boost gauge has zero needle bounce. My 4th gen factory match boost gauge bounced like crazy and it drove me nuts. You can’t get factory match for the 5th Gen…but these are so close I don’t even notice.

Managed to find the dimmer wire behind the headlights and the dim function works on the gauges too.

Sorry if the photos uploaded sideways?

    So yeah…overall zero complaints.
