    Potential Emergency With The MM3

    Good afternoon good folks.

So I noticed Friday morning that my MM3 display shut off and came back on.

It happened a few times, so I researched the problem and found that a few people had the same problem.

It was either the micro USB cord or the port in the back of the display itself.

I took apart the A-post mount to see what was going on.

No problem at all with the cord coming out of the display, so I put it all back together and was going to order a new cable.

Drove around for the rest of the weekend with the display on and off.

I fired up the truck this morning, and the display never came on.

While at lunch, I followed the cable down the longer black box that the other end of the micro USB plugs into.

The female part of the micro USB was on my cable's end.

You can see where the two mounting points have separated from the circuit board and where the solder broke loose.

I contacted MM3 about the issue, and they said they would send me another black box if they weren't back-ordered.

The big dilemma is that I am leaving Texas Wednesday morning, headed back to NC before the sun rises to tow my camper, and I'm pretty sure my tuner was on either 4 or 5.

I have no way of switching it back to stock or tow.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated in my untimely pickle.

If I do have to end up having to tow my camper on the current tune, what do I need to watch out for?

I have a boost gauge and an EGT gauge, but I always relied on my MM3 for trans temps.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that simply unplugging the MM3 puts you on the 30HP tune.

See post 10 in the thread below.

I hope I am not taking this out of context.

    @DRD please confirm.

    Correct.

The truck will return to the lowest power level with the unplugged tuner.

    God bless,
