Carrier Bearing Failure

I have a 2012 with a 2-piece driveshaft; my carrier bearing has failed.

I found a one-piece at a junkyard, but it’s from a 2019.

I asked them if they thought it would work they told me to ask a dealer.

I asked the dealer, and they told me the one I was looking at was for a 3500 Mega Cab; I have a 2500 Mega Cab, and they said it’s different, but I don’t think that’s the case.

This is my third carrier bearing.

I want the one piece; if anyone knows if this would fit, please advise.

I’d measure all the pertinent things like the overall length from trans case to rear yoke and verify mounting is the same on both ends.

And search other forums as well.

It’s the same length from the center of the u-joint to the u-joint.

I’m just worried about the spline count; they both have the 68RFE, Mega Cabs, and 76ish inches; thanks for the advice.

I’d try to get the most recent part revision; likely, over the years, it’s improved (hopefully).
