Hello!
I just received my MM3 in the mail from double R Diesel, I have it hooked up to write the stock file and am getting the error “Unknown Software (ECM)” when I plugged in the tuner, it updated, and I rechecked, and it says it’s up to date.
Any help, please?

Is your bypass cable hooked up?
If so, unplug it.
We just had a member have the same issue.
Unplugging, which I recall, the bypass cable worked.

So the cables I received are the charging cable from the monitor to the communication box, ODB to communication, and the OTF cable.
Am I missing the cable I never received?
Or is the bypass the OTF?

I unplug what I’m assuming is the bypass (OTF), and now it times out, telling me to turn the key on even though it’s on and exits back to the main screen.
I tried plugging back in and got the same message for unknown software ECM.

Yes.
When asked while ordering, I selected CP3.
The recall was done months ago.
I just ordered the tuner last week.

You need to contact MM3 Power on Monday for a new stock file.
When the CP4 recall was performed, the dealership likely flashed a new stock file that the MM3 can’t recognize.
This seems to be a common issue with this recall.
