    AC Help -2001 5.9L Cummins

I recently replaced everything in the AC system on my 2001 5.9L Cummins.

New compressor, high and low side lines, and condenser and evaporator bottle; however, after having the system vacuumed and charged with refrigerant, the compressor will not engage unless using a jumper wire at the relay.

This was a pre existing issue before replacing the old AC system.

    Any ideas?

I replaced the low pressure switch also.

Assuming the relay is good, it sounds like there may be a problem on the control side.

I would start with a wiring diagram to see how that relay is controlled.

It was the high-pressure switch I replaced a while ago when troubleshooting.

Assuming it was bad out of the box.
