In my opinion, I would still go with the MM3 reason being.

Tuning is much more than just with the trans.

The doc is the best in the business, providing the truck and yourself ease, comfort, and of course, Power.

You can get everything from 30 to 200hp gains.

If you're into the sound features, you will have an F-35 Jet every time you drive "whistle tune" to the 12V sound.

The biggest thing for me is there is no middleman involved in making their share for the tune, and it's you and him, questions, concerns, and troubleshooting related problems.

I suggest coming here first for questions if you do run into one.

We're here for you in either direction you go.

    Again, welcome to the family.
Thanks for the welcome and all valid points.

    What I’m looking for is:
    1) breathing easier in every capacity
    2) maximum MPG unloaded and loaded (15K lbs and under)
    3) most HP without sacrificing MPGs
The 3 is the unicorn we’re ALL looking for, but I understand it’s all within reason.

Right now, unloaded, driving very conservatively, I’m only getting ~13.5mpg.

That’s a soft right pedal and ~65mph on the highway.

Towing my small ~5K camper, I only get 10mpg’s.

I’d LOVE to kick that up 4-5mpg!

If I’ve gone too deep in my intro thread to gain this knowledge, I’ll move my questions elsewhere.

Just tell me where to go!

I’m not an idiot, and I’m eager to learn.

I appreciate every one of all you’s help!

Eta: I have the Aisin tranny with 4:10 factory gears.

Towing my 6K camper, I only get 10mpg’s.

I need to improve that drastically!
    Thanks.

New LPM - Lots Of Questions!

    So I have a 2018 3500 CC 4x4 with 3.73.

With 4.10’s at 65, you must be turning some fairly high rpm’s.

My old 12 valve sure turned a lot with the same gear set.

I was getting 15.3 regularly and 11.8 loaded.

After the truck went on a diet with MM3, I am getting between 16.5 and 17 empty.

    I get 15 with a small trailer.

I got 13 pulling about 11k worth of hay.

    Hope this helps you out.

I'm getting 16.7 accurate city driving and 18.5 - 19 highway miles with my current setup.

Thats on the 37's; when I had 35's, I was getting 23 miles highway from North Oregon to Southern.

I do run Lucas top-end lubricant in every other tank.

    I have a 2018 3500 CC SRW 4X4 with Aisin trans.

You definitely have the HO Cummins, as AKBob stated.

The tunes are worth getting as they will make a massive difference in how the truck runs and with mpg.

I run the +90hp tune on the Hwy and get 20 mpg with stock size Toyo M/T's and 3.42 gears.

I would gain around two more mpg with a street tire.

I tow a little 5'er weighing around 10k lbs, always on the +30hp, and average 13 mpg if I keep it at 60 mph.

Even though you cannot tune the Aisin, it does handle a bit of extra power well, but it will let you know if you give it too much.

Anything above the +90hp tune will have alot of shift flare going into the converter lock if you are on the throttle hard.

Once you are at Hwy speeds, it does alot better.

I don't do it often, but if I launch from a dead stop hard, I use the +90hp tune and tap in the +150hp tune when the 4th gear hits the converter lock.

It still amazes me how fast an 8000+ lb truck can be.

Nice truck; I am sure you will enjoy it either way.
