OK, we have storm covers for the window, but not security type.
I have been thinking about building covers that would act as a security device, plus storm covers.
It needed to be super easy to remove and close up.
After a year or 2 of thought, I concluded I would use barrel hinges for pins to slide the cover on and lock it.
1.5" angle iron for cabin mount, 1.25" angle iron setting over the top, and 1/5" expanded metal over the top.
Painted frame to match cabin, covered in satin black.
I have six windows.
All frames are completed; four are finished 100% and painted.
I ran out of expanded metal, so I am picking up a new 4X8 sheet on Saturday.
So this weekend, it should all be done.
Canceled Kubota run, doing window covers, adding an electric heater in the cabin (Cadet 220V) and a sub-panel at the well to be able to run another power set up to another campsite; this is the full 50/30/20A plugs, 50A being 220V.
