Another update, but while I was able to tighten the exhaust flange, it seems the sound still isn't fixed in the cab now that I am finally driving it.
Should I continue looking for another leak?

I would look for loose nuts.
I'm almost curious if what you hear could be a valve lash adjustment.
The ticking sound you have heard is, IMO, a lousy gasket bleeding by / loose nuts or valve clatter.
Your truck was previously worked on; you now hear things you hadn't.
I'm trying to figure out a plausible suggestion for you to check.

I will record a sound clip and see if I can make it noticable. The only work the truck had done was transmission fluid poured in, and the transmission relearned.... Per their statement. They didn't say they had to drop the exhaust but the flange was disconnected

That all consists of pulling the drain plug/pan and a scan tool from the cab with a few clicks and movements of the shift lever, your done
Not sure why the down pipe is off or loose

The sound occurs when I let off the gas between second markers 2 and 5, and then again at 11 to 13. That is the sound of the engine brake that sounds like air wooshing into the cab from the vents but covering the vents does not change the pitch or tone of the sound

It also might just be very loud outside the cab, as it gets substantially louder when I roll down the passenger side window.

My EGR was deleted some time ago, leaving a couple of connections empty.
When I was changing out my battery today, I saw this broken, and I'm not sure what it is or if it would contribute to the sound.

Yes that’s your exhaust pressure sensor and it will create the sound you are hearing. With your 2014 being tuned you don’t need it hooked up but you do need to plug the hole. Give me a few minutes and I will send you a link to that plug it’s a special type and thread.

The exhaust back pressure tube broke off.
From the manifold to the sensor?
If I'm looking at the correct thing.
That should hook up on top.
Thats exactly where the noise is coming from.

Here’s the link to the plug you need.
Remove the old fitting from the manifold, then install this plug with a bit of Teflon paste pipe dope.
