I have a 2019 RAM 5500 thats been a piece of junk.

I finally rebuilt the engine and will probably return it to stock to trade in or sell.

However, I will have a delete kit for a 5th Gen then and I've found a 5th Gen for cheap with a blown engine, and the body style is more suited for my purposes than the one I have now anyways.

I would like to drop a 4th Gen longblock into it if possible.

The ECM mounts the same, and the flex plate looks like it will mount the same, and everything else I'm pretty sure will work as long as I use all the 5th Gen bolt-ons except for a sensor that was on the intake horn on 4th gens is now on the intake plenum.

My question is, will the 5th Gen ECM run the 4th Gen engine without problems? Please if anyone would have any advice or who to talk to I'd like to know. Thanks.

Would it be just tuning, or are there other compatability problems?
