    Installed New Seat Cushion

I broke down and bought the dura foam replacement driver's side seat cushion.

I must say the first impression is pretty good.

Plenty of support, and I don't feel like the seat sags in the behind anymore.

That being said, the directions are a hot mess.

It wasn't difficult to figure out.

Removing the seat from the truck is the best way to go.

Find some pliers that will make it easy to squeeze the seam clips together.

It was a PITA with needle nose Pliers.

All in all well worth the money to switch out the seat foam.

    Bought it from @Geno's Garage.

    $155, I think after taxes.

I took the seat out and did a good cleaning job, and washed the seat cover.

Also found my driver's side carpet was wet for whatever reason.

Anyhow, probably about 4 hours to do without all the extra stuff I did.

Breaking the seat down and doing the seam clips was the longest part.

    Great, thank Ya

The clips are you referring to, the one that's directly under the seat on the front side?

    Or a clip, let's say.

Just wondering if perhaps you may have a plugged sunroof drain causing the wet carpet by chance?

The seams are on the side and torwards the front.

Two dowl rods on either side are glued into the foam crests in the recesses on either side of the seat.

    Same for the front one.

A plastic rod is sewn into the cloth seat cover, and these stupid circular clips hold everything together.

    I don’t have a sunroof.

Maybe a bad seal on the windshield?
