I Need Help Please - Fuel Rail?

Is it normal for fuel to come out at the base where the fuel line connects to the fuel rail?

I removed the fuel line and pushed the plug into the fuel rail port.

As I'm doing this, fuel comes out along with air bubbles at the base. Is this normal?

I am trying to figure out why I get the code and check engine light for too low fuel pressure.

You should not be leaking any fuel, especially on the high-pressure side.

    It's hard to tell

Is it leaking from right under threads?

I've personally never seen one leak from under the fitting itself, only at the line and threads

Thats where your code is coming from

Even at idle if its leaking at 7 to 8k fuel rail pressure, I could imagine a solid spray at 24k

Sinch the snot out of her but not to the point where you may strip it

Sorry for the hour delay, I'd be Wiggen out right about now

Great.....the only time I have seen fuel come out of the bottom is when I pressed the red cap in the opening. But you are saying that nothing should be coming out of the slight opening at the base. Each fuel line housing has that same slight. The truck with give me a code right when it gets up to temp. Fuel pressure usually sits right at 18 now it has dropped and has gone as far down as 14 then it stalls out but will start right back up

Fuel comes out right at the base. Not while running or when I turn it off

No diesel should leak anywhere cold or hot starts

Your CP3 will generate the output for fuel

Your fuel rail sensor is saying it needs more fuel but with the bad leak that's present is why you have codes popping up

Once the leak is stopped, you should be back to normal

They have gone up a lot since I've looked at them

Before buying, sinch them down to spec, if it's still doing it, you'll need a new one

If its leaking from the body, there's no help but buy new

That is normal look at how the line fits into the rail it seals it off from the inside flare not the threads.

You do not need a new fuel rail!
