Ball joints, u-joints, steering box, have you checked wheel bearings x4?

Upper and lower control arm bushings shot?

You have probably checked this stuff, but I'm trying to scratch my brain for you here.

You mentioned you tighten up the steering box, which improved.

I'm leaning towards that still being the issue, friend.

That’s what I’m thinking as well.

I reached out to redhead today to see if they do any military discount before I get one on order.

Tightening up helped a lot but still feel a “click” or “knock” not sure what to call it in my Pittman arm.

    Everything else looks good.

I found a few articles on other forums about the brake pedal rattling, which mine does.

It’s just held in by a clip, so might red neck engineer something to soften that up.

Pretty sure any normal person would look at me like I’m crazy for being picky about it.

Not at all; that's how I am after hunting season each year.

Trying to figure out what's broken or going out.

I believe red head does do the discount

@DDP by chance, do you guys have those in stock?

Or perhaps equivalent for a steering box?

Our vendors might just have something in your ballpark.

I read through this thread, maybe I missed it but have you checked the track bar. Mine was getting worn and you could feel it at random times in the steering wheel. Have someone move the steering wheel back and forth and look closely at both ends.

I have and it looks good. I haven’t dropped it just poked around with a flathead to see if the bushings were shot

The truck is driving a lot better. I’ve put about 50 miles on it since I did the steering shaft and the rattle/vibration is almost non existent at this point. Still there but it’s about 90% better than what it was. Some rattle is the brake pedal which seems to be a common theme

I was thinking of ordering a Thuren TB regardless but will prolly be after the gearbox.

I don’t use my truck a whole lot just to tow my horses around so it’s at a point now that it’s livable and safe which is most important
