I'm new to RAM and Cummins but not to lifted trucks.
I had a 2011 F250 with a 6" BDS 4 link lift with a leveling kit on top with 38s for a total of 8" lift.
I owned it since brand new as I got rid of it for the Cummins.
My F250 had 210k on it and still drove great. Now with that out of the way.
I loved my new Cummins until I put the Mcgaughys 8" lift on it.
It is the worse driving vehicle I have ever driven, and I've moved some terrible vehicles.
This truck has the crappy generic shocks that the kit came with, so I know that could be part of the problem.
So here's the deal it drives so unstable that it starts to make me sick.
It's like it wants to go all over the place and throws you side to side.
I swear I can feel the axle shift from side to side.
When I had my son get the truck and move the steering wheel back and forth, I could see the track bar move where the rubber grommets were.
So I'm asking for help.
I see these trucks with this lift kit all the time on YouTube.
They can't all be this bad.
My 210k F250 on 38s drove like an S Class Mercedes compared to my new (I hope not ruined) $89k truck.
I think I need:
***Carli track bar with metal Heim joints
***Better sway bars
***Better shocks
Can someone point me in the right direction to do first?
I've already taken it back to the shop twice with no luck.
They said they would never do that kit again.
My truck has the factory air ride.
The wheels are from my F250 with adapters as it's temporary.
I'll get better wheels and tires when I get it lined out.
