Idle Noise?

I know this was posted recently by someone else, but it made me wonder.

I am new to owning a Cummins, so I’m still getting used to the little noises one makes compared to my obs Silverado gasser.

Does the engine noise sound normal to everyone?

I hear a slight Almost ticking, and I know I’m probably just being paranoid about it, but I figured I would get others' opinions.

The truck does have EGR “intact” with a complete weight loss kit.

This is at operating temp with about 75k miles on the motor.

It sounds like the typical injector noise.

Hard to tell without being there.

You could make a valve lash adjustment to put you at ease.

I could be thinking too far into it, but I felt I should at least get a second opinion.

I am also wondering if I should adjust the valve lash.

Otherwise, it runs and drives fine.

I figured I would give everyone a quick update!

I stopped by my local repair and performance shop, and they felt just like Corkey stated that it was nothing to worry about, and they didn’t hear anything out of the norm.

I’ll still go about checking my valve lash, but this is where I’m at as of right now.

The guys are honest and do great work, so I figured I would let them hear it in person on my lunch break since they’re right up the block from me.
