    XDP X-TRA COOL Direct-Fit Radiator

Just curious if anyone is running this radiator and how they like it as I just ordered one.

Online the reviews seem great about it, and it has a one-year warranty.

I was going to get the OEM one, but its cost is almost a grand compared to $329.

    Any input is appreciated; thanks.

I will put this in my truck early next month as I have a pinhole leak in the bottom driver's side corner.

I got it today, and it looks just as good as OEM.

    I hope it holds up.

I have heard temps 10 degrees cooler with it.

    Looks good.

Post some pics of taking the old out and installing the new one.

Curious to see how it compares to the OEM.

Thanks for the post and questions.
Upgrades are always awesome to chat about and share info.

Especially when it comes to Radiators and Intercoolers for these trucks.
Like Bob & Watersupply asked - keep us up to date with your install and final results.

I myself - have never and never will be a huge fan of the Plastic End Tanks - Heating & Cooling cycles throughout the lifespan just causes to many short term - cracks and pin hole leaks - I have experienced this 3 times over my 57 yrs. - Those PLASTIC drain plugs are Flippen Stupid!
I will say ---> For the price - it is a very good replacement
PICS of the Install - Please!

    I personally hate doing things 2X - & I totally understand $$$$ is a critical factor to everyone! - Saving $300 - $400 is a Huge Blessing!
If I (Myself) have to tear my front end down - I'm only hoping to do it once.

I will look my in this direction - when the time comes. (Hopefully Years down the road) - though it would make sense to do the replacement and never have to be concerned about it.
I am By No Means - Knocking Your Selection (It's a Great Replacement) - It's just - I already have a decent size replacement parts list already made & this radiator is on it.

    Ok, will do.

    That radiator looks nice.

I have never seen that one, but it reminds me of the Mishimoto radiator with the aluminum on the sides.

Apparently, these radiators in the RAMS are notorious for leaking too.

As you said, the heat cycles over time are most likely because of my wife's Ford 6.7L with the same leak.

Mine doesn't leak when warm; only when cold do you see it on that corner where the plastic meets the metal.

I was hoping it was just the drain valve not sealing, but I could see the red/pink stains of coolant on metal about a foot up.

This install doesn't look too bad.

I don't have to mess with manual transmission cooler lines.

This thing is supposed to be reinforced over stock on those ends also.

I will take pictures and let you all know what I think, and I will say it was shipped awesome, no aluminum bent or anything, so that is a good start.

Re: XDP X-TRA COOL Direct-Fit Radiator

Sorry, I am a little late to the game on the Install and pictures.

I have been running it with Amsoil coolant, and it's been great.

It honestly runs about 5 to 10 degrees cooler.

I noticed the sides have more clamps.

    It's way better than OEM.

If anyone wants a picture of what I am talking about, I can get one before I trash the OEM.

Honestly, so far, well worth the money and way cheaper than OEM.

Alright, I just ran outside and got you a picture of what I am talking about.

These radiators, no matter Ram, or Ford, all leak that I have seen from the top corner or bottom.

So, upon installation, I noticed this.

    OEM

    Aftermarket
