    Re: P0402 Code?

The second post I've read about the Banks intake throwing codes on the newer trucks 2019-up.

I think there is a guy who had 2018 with G56 who threw a code.

I think it's partially because the sensors get relocated on the intake tubes instead of the stock airbox.

See the possible causes section hopefully; this will help.

They don’t mention the MAP sensor, but they reference the MAF sensor as a possible cause.
2019 Cummins, I just got the CEL P0402 code.

Going to do the troubleshooting you provided in pdf.

Any tips or info you can provide?

Is anything new that come up since this thread was posted?

    I appreciate it!

Nothing new that I am aware of.

I would follow the troubleshooting information and see where that leads you.

Suppose you have modified anything on the air intake or exhaust/EGR system, that may be a good place to look first.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

    Completely stock right now.

I’ll see what happens and update.

    Thanks again!

    Re: P0402 Code?

Well, so far, I’ve inspected connectors and have done some troubleshooting.

I changed the engine air filter cause it’s about time.

I drove the truck for 30 minutes, and CEL went off.

So it seems to be driving and acting okay now.

I hooked the scanner to it, and it let me clear it out this time.

    Last time it said permanent.

    We will see.

Pleased to read these success stories.

Hopefully, it’s a permanent fix; please keep us posted.

    Well, that didn’t last long.

Driving home tonight, nothing over 45 mph; the CEL came back on just after rinsing off the truck.

We got home and had the same code.

We put a WIX 46930 air filter in the other day.

We had a car quest 88930.

Does anyone have trouble with the Wix filter?

Maybe not letting it breath enough and causing this code?

I couldn't find the thread, but I remember reading about issues with some aftermarket air filters on the newer RAMs throwing trouble codes.

I would install an OEM filter to eliminate the possibility.

    Will do.

    I’ll report back the results.

Okay, I installed a new filter, which we have used for a while now.

    (See pics) orange one.

CEL went away and seems okay now.

Also pictured is the Wix filter that the truck did not like.
