    Does My Idle Sound Normal?

For context, the truck has 45% overs, 10mm CP3, Airdog, S366sxe, plus some other supporting mods.

Some pinging/knocking in the background is a little hard to pick up over video.

Before the mods above, it made the noise but was much less noticeable.

It runs great and sounds good in and out of boost at speed.

That sounds about right from what I hear.

    Do you use any additives?

Lucas's upper cylinder helps lube up the rings, reducing diesels' pinging.

The bigger injectors with a 10M will create more noise than stock because of the fuel volume.

II 60HP STICKS, II 33% CP3, II S464 2ND GEN SWAP, FASS 165 TITANIUM SIGNATURE SERIES, AFE INTAKE HORN, S&B FILTER, 5" TURBO BACK, ALPHAREX HEAD LIGHTS, 38X13.5X20 RAZOR M/T, MOTO METAL RIMS, 6" LA LIFT KIT, COMPLET MM3 KIT, BUILT TRANSMISSION, 6 BOLT REDHEAD STEERING BOX

Sounds acceptable to me also, I didn’t hear anything of concern.

2014 RAM 3500 (Aisin) 3.73 4X4 Limited Crew Cab Long Bed DRW. Oil Bypass Filter, Fuel Filtration Kit, Cold Air Intake, City Diesel Actuator and 50 Gallon Aux Fuel Tank.

    Thanks.

No, I don’t use any additive now, but if it quiets it down, I may look into that Lucas additive.

    Makes sense.

These engines make me paranoid! LOL
