    Check Gauges Light On

I replaced my totaled 3rd Gen 6.7L with another, and the check gauges light stays on, but all gauges on the dash Edge monitor read ok.

    Any thoughts?

Are you saying you replaced the truck for another 3rd Gen truck or just swapped out the instrument cluster from another truck?

Edit: I just now saw the word totaled.

    Read it too fast. LOL

    Hopefully, someone can chime in.

Have you scanned it for codes yet?

Only half of your odometer is lit up, showing mileage.

Could be why your check gauge is lit?

It's hard to read, but it says 260,517 miles.

I would double-check connections in the back.

I remember your accident when you posted it, and I hope all is well, brother.

Edit; I see what you are stating "on the RPM side."

This could be why it's saying check gauge.

    Might have forgotten that connector?

Not sure why pic only captured half of the odometer; it works just fine.

That's something weird with my phone camera

Have you checked all fluid levels?

Apparently, low brake fluid, oil, or coolant can cause this issue.

Just curious, have you tried disconnecting both batteries for a few hours to see if that might reset that light?

Are all gauges functioning correctly and accurately?

I would double-check oil pressure with an actual gauge just as a precaution.

Have you scanned for trouble codes in the instrument cluster?

Try this out, as I did some research.

I cleaned the two ground wires going from the factory battery terminals to the fenders/frame areas.

Wire brushed the bolts and coated everything with dielectric grease.

Reassembled, then cycled the ignition on and off 3 times, light is now off.

It seems the factory grounds were too clean after cleaning the engine compartment.

I was told by Dodge tech that is what kicks the light on most of the time.

Engine bay cleaning with high pressure or gunk. They get 1.2 hours to clean and do it.

The 2 ground wires needed scuffing up, reseating, coating with die e grease, then the bolts reinstallation on coated bare metal for goods grounds.
