    Re: Trans Time

Ouch, another $800 just evaporated. Mishimoto cooler and -8 lines.

I expect I'll need a flex plate, too; there goes another $400.

I can't imagine what 24 qts of ATF+4 will cost me.

And Ray says I'll need to do head studs to run the 200hp tune so much for shocks and wheels this year.

    A rabbit hole, anyone?

Hate your trans took a dump.

No experience with the trans builders you mentioned.

So your A/C already went out in your Scat?

It sounds like you have done some awesome mods on it.

Can you throw a pic or two up of your car?

I have a 2019 Charger Scat and love every minute of driving it.

    Close to finished for now.

Coil overs and billet suspension are on the garage floor, waiting on time to install.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the worst state in the country, so no motor mods until the warranty are up and I buy another motor.

Wanting to go 426 forged bottom end and Whipple 3.0, but that isn't going to happen in Cali.

Truck trans is here, not sure about the converter and flex plate, so I have to fit that in somewhere too.

Truck has been sitting for 6 weeks.

I'm curious about what you can tell me for a review on the intercooler.

Depending on what goals you want, +800, I recommend the 625's ARP anything lower, 425's will work just fine.

ATS has a fair price on a billet flex plate; I went with that.

    Re: Trans Time

Well, the good news is my DRT trans is in (finally), the truck moves under its own power again, and after sitting for 10 months, the truck isn't throwing any DTCs.

The bad news is after I installed the new cooler and lines, one of the AN fittings is leaking at the swivel.

It looks like it"ll sit til THAT gets resolved.

My review of my DRT trans will have to wait until the leak is fixed and I get through the painfully slow relearning process.

    Re: Trans Time

So the trans is in and working like it should, nothing is leaking and everything seems to be happy.

Just got through the relearn and was able to light up the EB and return to the tune that hastened the demise of my OEM trans.

First off, I highly recommend DRT transmissions.

Doryn was a pleasure to deal with and so far the trans is solid.

Shifts are pretty smooth under light throttle can't comment yet about how it shifts when I mat it.

I'll give it another 200-300 miles before I stand on it.

I also won't comment on pricing out of respect for Doryn, but I will say the whole process was a lot less painful than it would have been had I gone with the more "well known" builders.

So far I'm very satisfied with what I got for my money.

I almost started an issue between Doryn and Ray trans wouldn't shift into 6th during the relearn until 72 mph, ~2200-2300 rpm.

Scanner said TCM was commanding the shift but it didn't go into 6th until late.

Doryn said it had to be the tune, Ray said he didn't change anything in the new tune except line pressures.

Turned out it was a loose nut behind the wheel, I hit a clear stretch of 2-3 miles in SoCal traffic and it picked up 6th exactly where it was supposed to.

That's what I get for worrying too soon an apology to each, a thanks for their patience and I think the feathers I ruffled are smoothed back down.

A big shout out to Full Send Diesel.

I bought the -8 line kit (through DDP) and ended up with a bad AN fitting.

FSD sent one overnight, no questions asked.

I'll definitely go out of my way to do business with these guys again.

Also big thanks to Chrisn162001 for his great advice on finding the right builder and package.

Now one to my next adventure, getting a CA smog cert.
