    I think you'll like it.

You won't need different tunes; it'll drop in just fine.

Just be careful to keep your fuel lines and intake clean while they're open.

    I know, right?

Having those fuel lines open where they are leaves no room for mistakes.

    I honestly appreciate everyone's input.

I hate putting out money I don't have with everything going on, but longevity is important.

    Howdy friend.

It’s essential for the long Jevity of all Cummins engines with grid heaters.

The possibility of either of these bolts ending up in your engine is not worth it.

Deterioration of the grid heater is inevitable.

    I deleted mine.

    No worries now.

    No issues with starting ever.

I live in TN, so it's not like we have many sub-zero nights.

Couldn't a person just cut the grid heater grid out of the stock plate and reinstall it?

Looks simple enough, and then just drill and tap the air horn for the aftermarket screw heater.

    Yes, you could do that.

The grid heater electrical connection bolt would still be in the plate but not used.

Depending on the location and type of aftermarket heater used, you may still have the possibility of parts entering the intake plenum should the heater fail.
