    Help! - Horn/Blinker Issues

My horn honks anytime the left blinker is used.

So when I use my left blinker, flashers, and unlock, my truck beeps, and it’s a weak beep. Anytime I lock my truck, it’s a weak beep.

The horn works just fine, and the alarm/panic.

    I can’t figure it out!

If anyone has any info I can do to fix this, it’s driving me crazy.

It sounds like something is broken with the horn inside the steering wheel.

Hopefully, someone will know that had this issue.

Agree the issue could be caused by damaged wires in the steering wheel harness.

You could inspect for wiring damage between the steering wheel and the Body Control Module (BCM).

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a wiring diagram for your 2011.

I have attached a diagram of the horn circuit for 2014.

As you can see, the horn switch has a return (ground) and sends a sensor signal to the right steering wheel switch via LIN Bus to the steering control module on the steering column, from there to the BCM via CAN Bus.

The BCM then provides power to the control side of the horn relay.

    All wires are good.

    Going to have someone

A diagnostic scanner to test and check that BCM is working correctly.

Had it looked at today, they said my tipm is going out, and I just have a feeling that’s not it.

I refreshed my tune, and so far, the problem has gone away.

I also traced all the wires, and everything looked good.

Unplugged every connection to look for corrosion.

Hopefully, just the refresh of the tune fixed the problem.

Just an update, after cleaning/taking apart my TIPM, it looked OK with no burn marks.

I finally found the problem was a loose connector near the radiator fan.

The problem was fixed; that’s why I never trust mechanics saved $3,000.

    Glad you found the problem.

It’s amazing just a tiny connector being loose could cause such issues.
