I hope someone can shed some light on a very odd issue.
2016 Ram 3500 dually CAI, exhaust manifold, deleted, full exhaust replacement, sensor oil relocated, FASS lift pump, studded. 110,000 miles.
DRD tune, tow mode 100% of the time.
I am towing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Vegas. 25,000lb fifth wheel camper.
On my way down last year, I lost oil pressure.
Had the oil pressure switch been replaced in Montana.
200 miles later, lost oil pressure.
In Vegas, they said the sending unit was cracked.
Replaced it in Vegas, and 250 miles later, no oil pressure and losing engine oil.
Another cracked oil pressure unit.
I have seen Max 1250 EGT, 32 lbs of boost, 230 engine temp.
I can provide more data if needed.
What is causing these to crack?
I was told to replace it but worried I would have the same issue.
Should I plug the hole to limp it home?
Any other ideas?
