    Bunch Of Codes - Turbo?

Hey guys, I have a 2015 with 68,000 miles full delete, and DRD tune-Just got a bunch of codes:

    P003A - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Position Exceeded
    P00AF
    - TURBOCHARGER BOOST CONTROL MODULE PERFORMANCE
    P0472 -
Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low
U010C - Loss communication with Turbo

I did not notice any power loss, but I cleared the codes.

Do you think it's the turbo or the actuator?

I always run with the exhaust brake on but notice now that it sometimes goes on and sometimes does not work.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Attached is a troubleshooting guide.

If your turbo checks out okay, you may get by just installing a new actuator.

I highly recommend the City Diesel Actuator.

Re: Bunch Of Codes - Turbo?

    I had that same issue.

I took the turbo off and disassembled it.

I went through with brake cleaner and a brush and cleaned it.

After lubricating it, I threw it back together, and all the codes disappeared.

I couldn’t afford a turbo then, and I’d already put in a new actuator.

Re: Bunch Of Codes - Turbo?

I have a question regarding the P0472 Code- Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low.

I am getting this code in combination with the U010C.

Since my delete and tune (whoop DRD!) I have had the EPS unplugged and Shibby'd off.

Is this code caused by the rationality of the turbo actuator not responding, or is it the unplugged EPS and/or software/firmware issue?

I know that sometimes the "parts cannon" needs to be fired, but I am hesitant to pull the trigger on this one.

    Thanks to all.

    Great question!

My guess would be if you fix the U010C code, the P0472 should go away.

I am basing this on the theory of operation for the P0472 code description attached.

I understand that the EPS does not have to be plugged in on the 2013 and newer trucks that are tuned.

Bebop, did you get the letter from FCA stating that the warranty for the turbo and actuator for 2015 trucks has been extended to 15 years/150k miles?

    Thanks.

Yes, after reading some posts, I forgot I got the letter-Dealer has to order the actuator.

I hope they do not give me an issue because the truck is deleted and should not have anything to do with it.

Worst case scenario, have them warranty the part/turbo and opt to install it yourself.

That's if they give you hassle about the truck.

The turbo is a bit heavy, 44lbs, so having a 2nd person comes in handy to tighten the nuts on the studs to hold them in place.
