Minimum Line Pressure Question 68RFE Trans

    2015 68RFE.

Are there any pros or cons to raising the minimum line pressure to 120?

Stock, I believe to be around 60 and currently running BD protect kit.

    Thermal bypass and 225psi tune.

I wondered if there is any downside to raising the minimum pressure to the 120 mark?

    Thanks much!

We thought the stock 68RFE was 160psi.

    Does anyone else know?

    Thank you,

I am currently maxed at 225psi.

I'm asking about the minimum pressure of 120 vs. 60?

Sorry if I do not understand this.

Less line pressure results in more slip which contributes to a rise in temp, which the 68RFE hates.

Is your trans just shifting too hard?

If so, try doing a relearn on the trans.

The hardest thing for me doing my trans work was babying it for 15 days for the relearn process.

I hope I understand this correctly.

    I understand max pressure.

Mine is seeing 225 plus, but more interested in the low end.

I'll see the 60s under very light throttle cruising speeds, and I understand that that is the stock pressure min.

I'm curious if there is any benefit to raising the min psi to 120 or so.
