I changed the CCV filter on my 272k mile truck, and the crankcase cover broke off on the last bolt.

I looked at the replacement price; it's over $400.

Any ideas if it's an immediate issue to replace?

If it's leaking, I would replace it.

You may find someone who has installed a billet cover willing to sell their OEM cheaper.

You could check salvage yards in your area or found these on eBay.
