Final update: I have worked all the kinks out. New tuning fixed my turbo surge.

**MAKE SURE THE TUNER USES THE DATA TABLES PROVIDED BY CALIBRATED POWER ON THEIR SIGHT.**

I have been driving the truck for the last two weeks issue-free, and she runs well.

The turbo is excellent light to light and on the freeway.

Spools are faster than stock, and the EB night and day are better.

    It's loud.

The turbo also has some cool sounds to it, mainly on start-up.

Overall it's a vast improvement over the stock one.

I fell its worth the money if you are not looking to do a 2nd gen swap.

I am happy I went this route.

    Take care, team.

You have to make a video of it firing up.

Re: Anyone Running Calibrated Power Stealth 64 VGT Drop In Turbo?

I got it all buttoned up, and the truck runs super smooth so far.

Only running a stock-level tune for a tank of fuel, the bottom-end response is a little lazy.

    No LBF on this tune.

Excited to see how it reacts with a 120 or 150 tune.

The compound setup is a lot quieter, but that’s also coming from an S464 2nd Gen swap.

I’ve noticed EGTs cool off super quickly after coming to a stop.

The prior setup had to sit for a minute for EGTs to come down to 400 or so.

Now running CTG tuning with EZ Lynk as the prior setup was DRD.

I had a good experience with Ray but wanted to try out something new and different, and so far really impressed with CTG, especially the trans tuning.

Feels a bit more refined and will actually downshift when you roll on the throttle.

Not sure how to embed a video, so here’s another photo.

How does it run on stock fuel?

Have you monitored rail pressure at all?

If it is open and convenient, could you measure the space directly above the spring bucket?

I am trying to figure out if Carli/Thuren shock mounts will fit with this.

What tuner did you go with?

I have had the Stealth 64 since April 2022 and can't get it to run right.

I have been working with Calibrated Power and MotorOps tuning.

They have also been working with each other.

It does the same thing yours was doing.

With a moderate roll onto the throttle, the truck will fall flat on its face, defuel, and lose boost.

I know MotorOps is using the vane tables from CPS.

Re: Anyone Running Calibrated Power Stealth 64 VGT Drop In Turbo?

    Hello, team.

I wanted to chat about things with the Stealth 64.

I also wanted to wait until everything was in order before speaking on my issue.

In short, I can not and will not recommend the Calibrated Power Stealth 64 turbo, as I have had nothing but issues with it.

I had a brief moment where it functioned as advertised, but the rest of the time, it was a problem.

Since installing back on Oct 22, I have gone through 3 actuators, and still no resolution in sight.

Calibrated Power got tired of sending me actuators, so they finally gave me the option for a refund or a new turbo.

I asked if a new turbo would fix the issue, and they never gave me a straight answer, so I took a refund.

I am almost to the point of making the change back to a fixed blade.

I am saving up and buying new parts as fast as possible to send back the Stealth 64 and be free.

Throughout the process, Calibrated Power hasn't been very forthcoming with the issue.

They know what's up but don't want to say anything, as they are super proud of the turbo, but it sucks.

Since posting here, I have met three others using the Stealth 64 with the same issue.

The good is that Calibrated Power did send me two actuators, but that was it (The actuator on the turbo now is throwing codes,3rd one).

The coolant cost and labor I had to eat. I do all my work, but three rounds of coolant and my time adds up.

I wasn't expecting an actual hourly rate but damn, nothing.

I even have to foot the bill to ship the turbo back. All good, it's noted.

I sent them data logs and talked with DRD, but nothing changed.

I even talked with other tuners. All said the same: they are finicky.

The issue is when you get close to or at WOT; the actuator shuts off, you lose all boost, the turbo barks, and the party stops.

Get back on the throttle and back to normal. I'm not an expert, so I can't give much info past that.

I sent two different data logs to Calibrated Power with the issue taking place.

Others have done the same and have no answers, which must be the most frustrating part.

I never could get a straight answer from them.

I put a lot of time and money into this setup just to come up short like this sucks, but I accept my doing.

Many threads talk about how the VGT sucks and that you should stay away. LISTEN!!!

I thought differently and found out nothing has changed; they still suck.

Maybe some out there have good luck with them.

I gave it a shot but failed.

    FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS VGT.

Thats all I got. Good luck out there.

    Take care.

What did you end up going with for a turbo?

    How's it performing? @Tjswa666.7l
