    MM3 Error Message (ComMod)

    Hello everyone.

I'm having an issue when I try to use the RT custom tunes.

I receive an error message when I try selecting one of the sound tunes.

I've already disconnected all cables and repeated them.

I am seeing if anyone has dealt with this issue before.

Check your black box to ensure the two halves are connected well unless you have a single-piece box.

Also, try and go back to stock and reinstall your tuner.

    Thank you.

Should I "return vehicle to stock software" then "program custom file"back onto the truck?

You could try that to see if it will work.

Make sure your batteries are fully charged before doing that.

I tried going back to the stock file, and it was unsuccessful.

I received "Write ECM request failed" Error 15012.

The switch button, POD program, and the RT program are grayed out on the menu.

Try popping your USB card out and back in.

    You did everything else.

Other than that, I don’t know what to tell you differently than to contact MM3 and see what they say.

Hopefully, someone can chime in that’s had this issue before, friend.

    Re: MM3 Error Message (ComMod)

    Thank you for the help.

I called MM3, and they said it might be the communication box.

I just emailed Ray at DRD to see if he might know the issue.

    Re: MM3 Error Message (ComMod)

I finally got the issue fixed!

It was a bad com box (the smaller of the two black boxes).

I contacted Dirk with MM3 Power, and he narrowed down the issue for me.

    Their customer service is top-notch.
