The owner is being sued because the tech didn’t know how to operate a manual vehicle resulting in the death of another tech?

I saw this on another forum as well.
It's a pretty crazy situation.
While it appears that the vehicle owner will not have any negative vehicle repercussions, this is more proof that we have some crazy laws on the books.

I know this is an old post, but the reason is to get money from the insurance.
The owner isn’t at fault.
It’s just who’s insurance is going to pay for it kind of thing.
Because the vehicle was involved, they’re going after the owner's insurance.
