What are the first signs of your transmission slipping?
Not sure if it's 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th, but I've noticed my RPMs jump up 200-300 right before it shifts.
18' 2500 completely stock 52k miles.

That is a typical shift flare in 2017.
The Aisin even does it sometimes in my 21.
As long as you’re performing maintenance and keeping an eye and nose on everything.
It’ll be fine.

So would you change the transmission fluid to see if that helps with the problem?

It's not a problem.
The torque converter unlocks during shifts in the higher gears, which is why the rpms temporarily rise.
when the shift is complete, it locks up again, and the RPMs drop.
I'll trade you transmissions.
I have a drivetrain issue, too; yours is typical, though.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt to change the trans fluid and filter. Operation is normal.
I am somewhat **** about my fluid and filter changes (I am early, usually).
Changing fluids allows you to have a better feel for what is going on with your vehicle.
Smell, color, and feel can clue you in to potential problems before they become catastrophic.
Your transmission sounds like it is a typical operation, based on the 3 I have owned.
