    I have no clue.

It sounds okay at idle; the second it’s at 1500 rpm or higher, you can hear it ticking away; it sounds like the only Hemi with a manifold stud that is broken, but I’ve checked for leaks around the manifold on my Cummins, and everything checks out.

It should be covered under warranty.

Did you do an oil analysis as recommended earlier?

The truck has been on a diesel-only diet without DEF for 2k miles.

So the warranty went out the window; however, the stock parts will be going back on.

Reading a lot about a faulty cam or cam roller is detrimental to the engine.

I’ve noticed a tick on my 21’ at high idle and a fresh oil change.

After a while, it goes away completely.

I just did an oil analysis and specifically asked about cam and lifter wear.

This is a 7100-mile oil change, and the truck has 26,000 miles.

I live in the desert, so that could explain the silicone.

Copper was above average but only slightly.

    I don’t think I have lifter/cam problems.

    Does anybody else?

    Here’s my results:

I sent my oil out twice; it does some ticking and seems more pronounced after an oil change for the first couple thousand miles.

My copper was decently higher, but they said to keep an eye on it.

Which is all I can do at this point.

    Re: Ticking/Knocking Noise Help

I had the same issue on my 18; all worked to build.

Has a gas-like tick and was told injectors or valve train.

It ended up being a simple exhaust leak
