    Head Gasket Issue - 2012 RAM 3500 6.7L

    2012 RAM 3500 6.7L with a quick back story.

June 2020 250k miles head gasket went out bubbling in overflow loped like a tractor never overheated water pump was replaced, and the head gasket was replaced by a shop and head studded (block and head were inspected both came back as in spec and no warping).

In 2022 with 286k getting a different noise in the front of the motor and bubbles in the coolant overflow, same as when the head gasket went the first time, but no power loss temps stay between 186-200.

Also, OHM’d my injectors all of them are .2-.3 only have 25k on them Bosch oem remans.

I did a combustion gas test, and it was negative, and the heat works great.

I am just looking for advice on the next step to try and run down this problem as it is my daily.

Started about a month ago, and sorry for being all over the place.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

    Shawn

Sure does sound like a possible head gasket issue, hopefully not.

If you have access to a pressure transducer and oscilloscope, you could check for pressure pluses at the coolant bottle.

Unfortunately, the compression test on our 6.7's is very labor-intensive having to pull the injectors.

If you can find someone with a pressure transducer and scope it’s a five-minute job.

See this video as an example.
