Disable Idle Shutdown?

Hello guys,

Does anyone have a solution for disabling the idle shutdown feature?

Even if I drive around for a while and stop and put the truck in park, the engine will shut off after 5 minutes of waiting.

I've never even heard of this.

I leave mine running when I go into stores and whatnot all the time and it never shuts off on its own.

There’s a function in witech (factory scan tool) to turn it off.

I’m not sure if snap on or other aftermart scanners can turn the function off.

I have Innova 5160RS Pro scan tool, haven't seen the option in there (unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

I’ll have to double-check, but I think it’s under the vehicle preparation tab then sub-category customer preferences.

Aftermarket scanners won’t have those options.

I’ll double-check tomorrow and update you.
